In 2011, a group of Marlborough locals came together and asked—how can we build on the good we see in our own community? They founded the Marlborough Community Development Trust and looked for real, down-to-earth ways to support local initiatives. Trustees rolled up their sleeves to help; by providing resources and peoplepower, the Trust began to build connections and make change. Now, in 2023, the Trust has a new name: Tautoko Community Trust. New name, same vision. The mission remains and the work continues.
Our mahi is centred around creating meaningful connections; we hope each person we encounter experiences God’s love and realises that they are valued in our community. Our programs build relationship through shared meals, shared songs, and shared experiences.
